Motorola is stepping up its affordable smartphone game. It released two new phones. Among them is the 2024 Motorola Moto G, which is a faithful successor to the 2024 model. It is also the company’s first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset.

Up front, the 2024 model comes with the same display as the 2023 model. That means it comes with a 6.6-inch LCD that features HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The phone is also unchanged in the camera department. It has the same 50MP main sensor on the back, which is paired with a dedicated macro camera. Up front is an 8 MP selfie shooter, which has become pretty standard for these budget phones.

As for the battery, the 2024 Moto G has a 5,000 mAh cell that can be charged at 18 watts. While last year’s model had the same battery capacity, it could charge at 15 watts.
