MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) – Mobile police officials said their officers were called in for three incidents of domestic violence over the weekend in three different housing estates. Officers detained two in connection with the incidents.
Police were called to Summer Place Apartments on Friday, June 17 at 11 pm after receiving a home complaint. The victim told police that her friend strangled her. Dana Terrell, 33, was arrested and charged with domestic violence by strangulation, along with other charges of disobeying orders.
Police were called to Brookley Apartments on Saturday around 8:40 a.m. for a home complaint. When officers arrived at the scene, the victim said her boyfriend tried to strangle and hit the victim. He then pulled out a knife and threatened to injure her, according to police. Romar Gable, 55, was arrested and charged with domestic violence by strangulation, domestic violence and the threat of domestic violence, along with other charges of disobeying orders.
On Sunday at 11:10 p.m., mobile police were called to Woodside Apartments over a domestic complaint. The victim told police that her boyfriend broke into her apartment and attacked her. The boyfriend then pulled out a gun and took the keys to the victim’s car, according to police. When the boyfriend tried to take the car and leave, the police said that he collided with the car in a pole. He then got out of the car and fled the apartment. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
