UPDATE: The accident disappeared just before 4 am. There is still no information on how many people may have been injured or what happened.
BALDWIN DISTRICT, Alabama (WKRG) – People are trapped in traffic for hours just before 1 a.m. There was a serious crash on I-10 east in Baldwin County near the 40-mile marker. He closed both lanes of the interstate.
Trucks and passenger vehicles were blocked on I-10 for hours. Members of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are investigating and are on the scene. We contacted ALEA early this morning and no details were available. There is also no information on when the wreckage will be cleared or how soon one or both lanes of the interstate will be reopened. We do not know what happened in the accident and how many people may have been injured.
