Airbus’ IT hiring activity increased by 6.3% in May 2022

The Dutch-based company Airbus IT hired 6.3% in May 2022 compared to the previous month, according to the GlobalData Job Analytics database.

The company’s total employment activity increased by 4.25% in May 2022 compared to April 2022.

IT jobs had a 7.96% share in the company’s total employment in May 2022 and registered a decline of 0.27% compared to the last quarterly average share.

Software and web developers, programmers and testers are at the forefront of hiring IT at Airbus in May 2022.

Of the total IT positions published by Airbus, software and web developers, programmers and testers emerge as the leading profession, registering a share of 44.21% in May 2022 and a steady growth compared to April 2022, while computer scientists information research has a share of 18.95% in May 2022 and registered an increase of 38.46%. Database and network administrators and architects held a share of 17.89% in May 2022, down 5.56% from April 2022.

Europe stimulates IT hiring at Airbus

Europe is emerging as a leading region in global aerospace, defense and security IT recruitment in May 2022 with a share of 87.37%, down 3.49% from the previous month.

The Asia-Pacific region came in next with 9.47%, growing by 125% per month. North America was the third leading region with 2.11% share and 100% growth compared to April 2022.

In fourth place is the Middle East and Africa with a share of 1.05% and monthly growth.

The United Kingdom is a leader in the aerospace, defense and security industry in the field of IT hiring with a share of 24.21% in May 2022, an increase of 53.33% compared to April 2022. Next is Germany with a share of 22.11%, which is a decrease of 8.7% compared to the previous month. Spain recorded a 20% share, an increase of 35.71% compared to April 2022.

Junior jobs lead to Airbus IT hiring in May 2022

Junior jobs account for 78.95%, an increase of 17.19% compared to April 2022. Middle-level positions with a share of 14.74%, a decrease of 30% compared to the previous month.

In third place are the job entries Entry Level with a share of 6.32%, a stable growth compared to April 2022.
