AMETEK Land, the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial non-contact temperature measurement, has released a major update to its thermal image processing software for monitoring, analyzing and capturing image data and controlling thermal processes.

From AMETEK Land, IMAGEPro is a reliable Windows-based software system that allows full process monitoring; device management and control; and provides a wide range of tools and options for monitoring, analyzing and interacting with up to 16 image devices simultaneously.

Based on the proven performance of this software, the all-new version 2 of IMAGEPro has been significantly modified to improve its accuracy, efficiency, speed and reliability. It also saves energy by reducing CPU usage, even with large thermal imaging installations.

Among the main added features are the intelligent time functions and calculations performed online on the live readings of the thermal imagers, providing the most accurate, most appropriate data for complete control of industrial processes.

Iteration v2 also adds many new features, including:

  • Three additional communication interfaces and I / O options
  • Modbus, OPC UA and TCP / IP
  • Remote monitoring using standard browser software
  • Extensive analysis, process control and custom values
  • Intelligent value-for-time features
  • Online calculations of readings
  • Digital control of software configurations
  • Manage and edit video files with thermal images
  • Trigger and event management
  • Event-controlled background recording and database management
  • Two-way data communication and I / O management

The new high-resolution palettes provide 1,024 colors and a split and top mouse-controlled display has been added. Digitally controlled palette switching allows a clear, detailed view of the process and its actual state, even from remote monitoring or video streaming.

Advanced background correction functionality allows accurate background calculation based on background temperatures, field temperature readings or external inputs.

High and low limits allow operators to focus on cold or hot objects in the region of interest (ROI), ensuring that pixels above or below certain limits will not be used for further calculation.

Manfred Hike, Global Infrared Product Manager at AMETEK Land, said: “With this major software update, we ensure that IMAGEPro software remains an extremely comprehensive, future-oriented tool. It is a key part of innovative thermal imaging systems for intelligent process monitoring and intelligent control of large-scale industrial thermal processes, using a single AMETEK Land thermal imaging device or up to 16. ”
