It’s easy to drop hundreds on a good pair of headphones, especially now that most of them are at least cheaper than usual. But you don’t need to spend that much on a pair of good boxes. Earlier this year, Audio-Technica introduced the $79 ATH-M20xBT, a wireless version of the original M20x, and they’ve quickly become our favorite pair of budget wireless headphones. For Black Friday, these boxes are cheaper than ever at just $59, giving you the chance to pick them up at the lowest price we’ve ever seen.

Audio-Technica ATH-M20xBT

These budget headphones may lack noise cancellation, but they impressed us with their solid sound quality, convenient built-in controls, multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, and long battery life.

The ATH-M20xBT may not have advanced features like active noise cancellation, but they’ve got a lot going for them. We like their comfortable design, even if it’s not as refined as that of the higher-end M50x. Their sound quality is good and they also come with 40mm drivers for improved low frequency performance. We also like their built-in controls with physical buttons that let you more easily control calls, volume, and music playback.

Probably the biggest feature of these headphones is their Bluetooth connection, which allows you to use them wirelessly. But Audio-Technica has also added multi-point pairing, so you can use them with more than one device at once. This is becoming a standard feature among the best headphones on the market, so it’s reassuring to see it available on a budget pair like this. The ATH-M20xBT also have a killer 60-hour battery life and support fast charging via USB-C, providing three hours of listening time after just 10 minutes of plugging in. So while they might not be as sleek as some of our other favorite wireless headphones, these boxes offer a lot of value for the price—and even more so when they’re sold like this.
