Cyberpunk 2077 there is now an official modding tool. CD Projekt RED has run REDmod, which provides players with integrated support for easy installation and loading of mods in the PC version of the action RPG. As noted in the developer’s official announcement, it will also allow players to modify and customize their gameplay using custom sounds, animations, and scripts that come with the tool. CD Projekt Red promises to update the tool along with future fixes to ensure it remains compatible with the game. However, this is free DLC and players don’t have to install it at all if they don’t want to.

As a popular mod website Nexus mods clarifies that while new mods must use a specific format to be compatible with REDmod, old mods will continue to work fine. Older mods that are not compatible with the tool will simply not show up in the new REDmod menu. This is also where players can switch mods are compatible with tool on or off.

The free DLC is now available to download from the official Cyberpunk 2077 websitebut players can also get it from GOG, Steam or Epic.
