Battery cell manufacturer Sodium unveiled its first prototype of a rigid pouch cell.

Prototypes continue to be developed at Natrion’s facility in Champaign, Illinois. “Natrion now has the ability to produce multilayer pouch cells up to 4 Ah in size,” the company says.

The company plans to begin sharing samples with potential customers and developing a lithium metal anode pouch and patented solid-state LISIC electrolyte.

The company previously raised $2 million in funding from investors, which it plans to use for its research and development activities, facilities and products.
