Audi
Three Audi models are facing withdrawal. The semiconductor in the engine control unit may cause the engine to stop due to a short circuit. The affected models are:
- Audi A6 sedan (2022)
- A4 sedan (2022)
- Q5 and Q5 Sportback
Only about 70 vehicles could have this problem, but drivers are still advised to check their cars. The dealer will replace the engine control unit free of charge if this is part of the download.
Ford
Ford’s latest withdrawal includes more than 25,000 vehicles spanning several Ford models.
- 2019-2020 Mustang cars with 5.0L engines and manual transmissions
The drive control module may send a false signal to the modules controlling the reversing camera, reversing light and driver assistance functions, which may disable all of these functions. After verification, dealers will update the PCM software for free. The vehicles in the seizure include:
- 2016 E-series
- 2017 and 2019 F-450
- 2021 F-350
- 2021 Transit
- 2022 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 and F600
- E 2023 series cars
While the vehicles are still in good condition, the labels for safety certification of the wheels are missing. This information includes tire size, rim type and tire pressure values for both the front and rear axles. The pass does not meet the Federal Standard for Motor Vehicle Safety.
If you drive affected vehicles, take them to a dealer, where they will replace the safety certificate label, free of charge.
General Motors
Pulling the GM is relatively difficult, as the front passenger seat may have an incorrectly welded hook. This allows the front seat to detach from the inner rail of the seat frame. The affected models are:
- 2022 GMC Canyon
- 2022 Chevrolet Colorado with manual passenger seat
Take your car to a dealer for inspection. The dealer will replace the pillow frame free of charge if it is defective.
The following vehicles may have a problem with the main hydraulic brake line that is not tightened properly. This may cause brake fluid to leak, but dealers will tighten the brake switch, bleed the brake system and replenish the brake fluid.
- 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD and 6500HD
Honda
Honda is pulling just over 200 CR-V models from 2020 due to inaccurate fuel gauge readings. According to NHTSA, the factory did not properly secure the absorber bracket inside the fuel tank.
This can lead to unexpected fuel depletion and shutdowns, increasing the risk of an accident. If you drive a CR-V 2020, take your car to a dealer. They will change the fuel tank for free.
