Novotechnik US presents RFC4800 series from non-contact angle sensors measuring angular position up to 360 °, rev counter and speed – no wear.
The RFC 4800 is now available with an IO-Link output interface. The serial communication protocol needs only three wires to transmit the measured values and status information simultaneously. The status bit can signal to the controller if a sensor needs to be replaced. The controller can detect the new device and automatically configure it based on the stored values, minimizing downtime. Parameters such as zero point can be sent and programmed to the sensor via this bus.
Other features include programmable zero offset, averaging of the measurement and signs of direction of rotation. The RFC4800 series has a resolution of 14 bits at 360 °, repeatability ≤ ± 0.36 ° and independent linearity of ± 0.5% of full scale.
Single and multi-channel versions of the RFC4800 series are available. The sensors are sealed up to IP69 and the operating temperature range is from -40 to +105 ° C. The time to failure is 810 years. Cable and connector versions available.
