Arrcus, a hyper-scale network software company and core infrastructure specialist, announced that CoreSite has implemented its multi-cloud network (MCN) solution to help activate CoreSite’s Open Cloud Exchange (OCX).
Open Cloud Exchange is an enterprise networking solution that allows customers to deploy high-performance hybrid architectures in a fast, secure, and cost-effective way. CoreSite uses the ACE MCN solution to expand its software-defined network platform by automating additional functionality to provide within AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud and direct cloud-to-cloud communication capabilities on CoreSite’s fully managed virtual routers.
The Arrcus ACE MCN solution at CoreSite’s OCX will launch in May 2022 in eight markets: Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay, Denver, Chicago, New York, Boston, Miami and Virginia. Since then, CoreSite has expanded its availability to its two new data center markets – Atlanta and Orlando – and is implementing a plan to add additional leading cloud and SaaS providers to OCX, in addition to AWS and Microsoft® Azure Cloud.
CoreSite’s Open Cloud Exchange, supported by ACE MCN, enables businesses to:
• Rapidly scale and deploy new applications in multiple US markets using cross-market connectivity
• Improve network performance and security with guaranteed private network isolation, bandwidth and lower latency compared to public Internet connections
• Increase market speed and gain more control and options
• Reimburse expensive cloud fees and redirect funds and internal resources to other business priorities
Shekar Ayyar, CEO and Chairman of Arrcus, said: “Arrcus is pleased to have been selected by CoreSite for their OCX platform. Businesses are looking for a seamless and secure hybrid cloud connectivity solution with the flexibility to quickly increase or decrease.
“The ACE MCN solution, which features our unique routing strength, provides OCX with secure hyper-scale performance, faster time to market and an improved economy, giving customers a competitive edge.”
The Arrcus ACE MCN solution enables high-availability connectivity for workloads and data with hyper-scale performance and security in every cloud, every region and every site. The solution consists of ArcEdge, a data plane security software that uses unique virtual routing capabilities with ArcOS and ArcOrchestrator for cloud orchestration, which dramatically automates and reduces the time to set up a multi-cloud network from days to hours.
The programmability and flexibility of the Arrcus solution allow CoreSite to provide virtual routing services to customers in minutes, dramatically increasing flexibility and efficiency. Fast and secure cloud connectivity is critical to business success in today’s digital economy. The Arrcus solution allows CoreSite to provide integrated security and orchestration to gain more control and increased market speed. This leads to the ability of their customers to reimburse expensive cloud exit fees and redirect funds and internal resources to other business priorities.
Brian Warren, Senior Vice President, Development and Product Engineering at CoreSite, said: “We use Arrcus virtual routers at CoreSite OCX to help our customers quickly expand their market reach and gain a competitive advantage while lowering TCO.
“With just a few clicks on MyCoreSite, our service delivery platform, customers can quickly establish direct and secure virtual connections with multiple service providers and the public cloud for fast, automated delivery.
