California-based computer hardware maker Corsair has released its first gaming laptop, although the Voyager a1600 is also aimed at streamers and content creators and comes with a funky 10-key shortcut for the Elgato Stream Deck software.

As you might expect, this AMD Advantage Edition laptop is home to options for the Ryzen 6000 series of eight-core, 16-thread mobile processors and Radeon RX6800M graphics, supported by up to 64 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 M. 2 NVMe SSD storage. And thanks to AMD’s intelligent technology, the laptop can deliver higher performance when needed by touching graphics memory.

The AMD model is available with a 16-inch QHD + (2,560 x 1,600) display with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz for satisfactorily fast visualization. Above this screen is a Full HD webcam at 30 frames per second, with a privacy shutter, while a directional microphone array with ambient noise suppression focuses on voice clarity.

On the other side of the clamshell is a full-size Cherry MX ultra-low profile keyboard that shakes mechanical switches and RGB backlighting for each key. And Corsair has included a 10-key macro / shortcut panel above, which can be accessed when the laptop’s lid is closed, and can also display the remaining 6410 mAh battery charge. These shortcuts are in addition to the function keys and can place streaming controls powered by Elgato’s Stream Deck software – the Corsair brand – in the control of content creators or store macro shortcuts for gamers.

The Voyager a1600 is relatively thin and light, measuring 356 x 286.7 x 19.9 mm (14 x 11.2 x 0.78 in) and 2.4 kg (5.29 lb) and takes advantage of dual-intake fans that run on a cooling system with a steam chamber for keep the temperature down when the game heats up.

The wireless connection is formed with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and the built-in receiver can connect wirelessly to up to three Corsair Slipstream wireless peripherals, freeing up a pair of USB 4.0 ports with Thunderbolt 3, one USB-C and one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A for other connection needs. There’s also an SDXC 7.0 card slot, dual 20mm Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

The Voyager a1600 is actually available in two versions, both running Windows 11 Home Edition. The model with a 4.4-GHz Ryzen 7 6800HS processor, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB storage is priced at $ 2699.99, while the more powerful brother comes with a 4.8-GHz Ryzen 9 6900HS, 64 GB processor RAM and 2 TB of storage will return you $ 2,999.99.
