Disneyland is expanding its Avengers campus zone, adding another ride to the superhero mix.

“We’re bringing the multiverse to Avengers Campus,” Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige said Sunday during the Parks and Experiences panel at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

In the new attraction, you’ll be able to fight alongside all enemies from anywhere and “every time,” Feige said. There will be a new villain named King Thanos and “this is Thanos who won and the Avengers are not too happy about it and you have to help them.”

A giant Hulk in an Avengers suit will also be walking around from next week, with Mark Ruffalo appearing via video link to make the announcement.

The Avengers Campus at Disneyland was first announced at D23 three years ago. Although it was originally slated to open in summer 2020, the pandemic delayed its opening to summer 2021.

It is likely that the new expansion and attraction will involve taking over the facade of the building currently used for the live show and the car park behind it.

The Avengers Campus has opened at Disney’s California Adventure in Anaheim with a new attraction, Spider-Man Web Slingers, joining the Guardians of the Galaxy race (previously restored by the Tower of Terror in 2017). It also has an area Dr. Strange and the Ant-Man themed eatery and brewery Pym Test Kitchen.

Details were also announced during the Disney Parks and Experiences panel at D23 The Princess and the Frog Rethema at Splash Mountainon start date for Tron Lightcycle Run at Disney World, the name of Disney’s next cruise ship, San Fransocchio at California Adventure and potential villains, Coco and Encanto area at Magic Kingdom.
