The organizers of the Tandem Events event have announced the finalists for the Develop: Star Awards 2022, and the winners will be chosen by voting in the industry, open to previous participants in Develop: Brighton and anyone who has already registered for this year’s event.

Voting begins today and ends on Wednesday, June 1. The winners will be announced at the Develop: Star Awards – a fun-filled evening celebrating all the success the gaming industry has to offer – Wednesday night, July 13, at Develop: Brighton 2022.

Shortlists were set for 19 categories from a group of game developers and industry experts who reviewed a record number of applications.

The critically acclaimed DEATHLOOP, developed by Arkane Lyon and published by Bethesda Softworks, is this year’s hottest contender with six nominations, followed by Guerrilla Games and Horizon Forbidden West by Sony Interactive Entertainment with five nominations.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Forza Horizon 5 are for four awards respectively. The first for best game, best game design, best technical innovation and best visual art; The latter for best audio, best game, best technical innovation and best visual art.

Roll7’s OlliOlli World also has three awards for Best Game, Best Game Design and Best Visual Art, and the publisher has also been nominated for Best Studio.

“Given the caliber of this year’s finalists, it’s no surprise that our list includes the best the gaming community has to offer. We are excited to unveil the winners in July and celebrate the nominated games, teams and personalities, ”said Tandem Events CEO Andy Lane.

“I would also like to call in particular the new categories ‘Marketing Star’ and ‘Best Augmented Reality Game’, which will recognize the incredible marketers and developers in the industry who push the boundaries of virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies. “

Table reservations and individual prize tickets are available for purchase now at an Early Bird discount, offering a discount of up to £ 400 until 8 June. You can find more details and links to buy tickets here. All tickets include a three-course dinner and invitations to the reception for drinks and after-parties.
