After years of rumors, Google’s purchase of the Fitbit has made the Pixel smartwatch inevitable. Two reports from Business Insider and The Verge at the end of 2021 define 2022 as the year in which it is often said that the Pixel Watch will finally be released. In the months that followed, we learned little about the device, including a physical leak in the style of the iPhone 4 from so many years ago.
Prices and availability
Pixel Watch is expected to debut in Google I / O with Pixel 6a. This will not be a full start, according to drainer John Prosser. It will be “annoying”, probably similar to the messages before the launch of Pixel 4, 5 and 6, where some details are annoying and others are kept close to the chest. The full launch is expected in October, along with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. In any case, almost every reliable source expects that the Pixel Watch will soon break the cover.
Google I / O ’22 👇
As far as I understand, Google will officially announce the Pixel 6a + "irritation" Pixel watch.
The launch of the Pixel 6a (in most markets) has been postponed to July 28.

In terms of price, the Pixel Watch is expected to cost between $ 300 and $ 400, according to adviser Yogesh Brar. This will make it a competitor to the Apple Watch Series 7 in terms of price. Google often rates its products – think Pixel Buds, PixelBook and Pixel – close to what Apple’s equivalents would be. Whatever you think of the wisdom of this approach, there is a precedent for the slightly more expensive Pixel Watch.
Pixel Watch has already expired physically in addition to renderings. We have a daily good idea of what it looks like, with a minimal design with a round chassis, a single crown and at least a silver color. Google’s designs have always been neat and comfortable, and the Pixel Watch doesn’t seem to deviate.
Describing the Pixel Watch, the source of the physical leak, tagtech414, writes reddit: “This is the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn. It feels much thinner than measurements would make you believe. Compared to my Galaxy Watch, it doesn’t even seem to be there. And a big plus, the crown does NOT get stuck in the back of my hand when I bend my wrist back or write, which is something that drives me crazy with other watches. The tape is soft silicone with good flexibility and doesn’t look too bad on fingerprints / oil, which is great. ”
As for colors, the carrier ‘s inventory records reported by Android Police say it will be in gray, black and gold, like the Pixel 6 Pro and Fitbit Sense.
It is reported that the Pixel Watch is equipped with Wear OS 3.1, a newer version of Wear OS than the one that runs on Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic.
This will be the first time we see Google’s Wear OS without overlaying Samsung. The company has promised faster application launches, smoother animations and improved battery life. The emulator design is also quite similar to the Material You design that Google currently uses on Android smartphones and tablets.
Outside of the Galaxy Watch 4, we haven’t actually seen the true potential of Wear OS 3, as demonstrated by Google in I / O in 2021. The Pixel Watch could be our first chance if people like Fossil and Mobvoi don’t start in the meantime. release their updates.
At the same time, we can expect the Pixel Watch to include integration with Fitbit. Google bought the fitness belt maker in 2021 and is committed to using its technology to power new products. The Pixel watch would be the perfect time to demonstrate this, especially when Apple and Samsung are focusing heavily on the health of their respective smartwatches.
We know little about Pixel Watch sensors. However, if it works with Wear OS 3, we can expect it to be relatively powerful. Data from the Wear OS 3 emulator fixes it as likely to come with Exynos processor and at least 1GB of RAM. Referring to advisor Yogesh Brar, this Exynos chip can be interpreted as part of an ongoing partnership between Samsung and Google. It is worth noting that Samsung is also helping to create the Tensor chip, which powers the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, so it makes a lot of sense for Google to continue to rely on them.
I got some information about the Pixel Watch from a relatively new source
1) Partner with Google Samsung and here.
2) Same sensors as Galaxy Watch (ECG and more)
3) new version of WearOS 3.1
4) 2 sizes, at least 4 colored watch bands.
5) Limited edition, priced between $ 300-400

Brahr also claims that the watch will have the same sensors as the Galaxy Watch 4, which include an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope sensor, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, optical heart rate sensor, electric heart sensor and bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor.
