Google Workplace users will soon get 1 TB of free cloud storage, know how to take advantage of the new storage plan

Today, we rely heavily on cloud storage because they are extremely reliable and do not require an external device to store your data; however, the problem arises when these cloud storage companies charge you a hefty fee to store your data. Most providers only provide 5-15 GB of free storage. If you use Google Drive, you’ve probably seen the message that your storage is full, which can be very annoying. The hassle of managing Google Workspace Individual account storage is finally at an end. Now Google is increasing the current 15 GB of free storage to 1 TB in an effort to help users grow their business, communicate and work more efficiently.

“Soon, every Google Workspace Individual account will come with 1 TB of secure cloud storage. You don’t have to lift a finger to get the upgraded storage: every account will be automatically upgraded from the existing 15 GB of storage to 1 TB as we roll it out,” Google said in a blog post.

Google adds that it is clear that users will demand more documents, data and digital assets to manage and store as the company expands. In this case, Google Drive is a savior. More than 100 different types of files, including PDF files, CAD files and photos, can be stored by users.

In addition, users can quickly edit and collaborate on Microsoft Office files without having to convert them. Drive also has built-in protection against spam, spyware, and ransomware, so users don’t have to worry about inadvertently exposing themselves to malware just by opening a document.

How to upgrade your Google storage from 15 GB to 1 TB?

Google will automatically increase the cloud data limit from 15 GB to 1 TB for each Google Workspace account. No changes to current subscription required for free access to 1TB of storage.

Google currently provides three monthly plans: 100 GB of storage for Rs. 130/month, 200GB storage for Rs. 210/month and 2TB storage for Rs. 650/month.
