GoPro Volta was launched in India on Friday, the new battery and camera control handle of the camera and drone manufacturer. The Volta handle combines with the standard GoPro battery for extended shooting time, up to four hours of 5.3K recording, the company said. The handle comes with many features, including integrated camera buttons to control the camera with one hand. The Volta can also be used as a remote control for a wireless camera and can be used as a tripod. The handle is compatible with many GoPro cameras, including Hero 10 Black. Volta can be used to charge any compatible USB Type-C device.

GoPro Volta is priced at Rs. 13,500 and will be available from the company’s online partners and imaging partners from May 16. To remind you, GoPro released the Volta handle along with the GoPro Hero 10 Black Creator Edition camera at the end of March for $ 129.99 (approximately Rs 10,000).

The GoPro Volta comes with a built-in battery that is said to provide up to four hours of 5.3K recording at 30 frames per second. The handle is available with an input power of 5V / 3A and an output power of 5V / 2.4A.

The 4900 mAh battery is combined with the camera’s standard battery to triple the normal battery capacity. The Volta’s integrated camera buttons are designed to make one-handed operation easier and allow users to turn on / off, start / stop and capture and switch modes.

The handle comes with built-in tripod legs that can be used to create stable photos. Users will also be able to wirelessly control the camera from up to 98 feet (30 meters). Volta mounting fingers easily help the handle attach to backpacks.

The weather-resistant design of the Volta includes lights for battery life and camera modes. The handle is compatible with many GoPro cameras, including Hero 10 Black, Hero 9 Black and Hero 8 Black, among others.

The Volta can be charged in 2.5 hours with the GoPro charger, according to the company. The handle can also be used to charge any compatible USB Type-C device, including the GoPro Max and older GoPro cameras.
