Spring is in the air and, believe it or not, so is the iPad. Apple is holding a live event tomorrow to unveil new entries in its tablet lineup at 10 a.m. ET. The headliner, called Let Loose, will be available to watch live in several ways. We’re shooting Stream on YouTube below, so you can watch right here, but the event is also available on company website and in the Apple TV+ app.

So what is the company likely to announce? Tablets as far as the eye can see. Apple is tight-lipped about which iPads will get a refresh, but rumors and reports point to a new OLED iPad Pro and an updated iPad Air.

According to rumors, the iPad Pro may even skip the M3 chipset as well of Bloomberg Mark Gurman suggested that there is a “high probability” that the tablet will include the next-generation M4. He also indicated that Apple will rely heavily on some new AI brand when it comes to the iPad Pro, calling it the company’s “first truly AI-powered device.”

As well as having built-in artificial intelligence to confidently but incorrectly answer questions, it will likely be an OLED tablet. That means a gorgeous display that should bring richer colors and deeper blacks to the lineup. OLED panels are also thinner than LCD panels, so this could be one slim gadget. There are also rumors that the iPad Pro will have a glass back to enable MagSafe charging.

It’s been two full years since the iPad Air was refreshed, which is a lifetime in tech years. The updated iPad Air likely won’t have a fancy next-generation chipset or an OLED display. However, it does boast an upgrade to the M2 chip. Current models still carry the outdated M1. Reports also suggest that the iPad Air’s front-facing camera is moving to the landscape edge.

It’s also possible that the tablet has been building up creatine, as Apple is rumored to be preparing the first 12.9-inch iPad Air. This would make it the most budget option for a large-screen iPad tablet.

The event won’t be just for the iPad. It will also be for iPad accessories. To that end, expect Apple to unveil a revamped Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro line, which could be made out of aluminum. Additionally, Apple is expected to introduce a new Apple Pencil to replace the second generation model. Some reports even suggest that the next Apple Pencil might be in the works Vision Pro drawing applicationsin addition to tablet apps.
