Trackwise is currently supplying lightweight, space-saving, flexible circuitry technology (FPC) to the automotive industry to facilitate high-density battery systems for electric vehicles (EVs).

Cell-to-pack technology aims to increase battery power density by directly integrating cells into the battery, eliminating the modules commonly used in most modern package designs.

Many major electric car companies, including Tesla, Hyundai and Volvo, plus CATL and other battery manufacturers, have recently issued press releases or statements regarding cell-to-packaging battery programs.

Other approaches, such as cell to vehicle and cell to vehicle, provide similar benefits.

Trackwise’s FPC technology is used to connect cells in batteries, saving space and weight compared to traditional wiring looms.

Cell-to-package FPCs are also very reliable, and because they are designed by the printing process, they are very repeatable.

They are also easy to install and may include components mounted on both sides for further processing and monitoring to control temperature and voltage.
