As the world continues to normalize unimpressed monkeys, better dressed than most people you see on a regular day, Meta Platforms Inc. is about to allow the use of NFTs on Instagram, according to Coindesk report.
Instagram has reportedly established links with popular NFT hosting blockchain networks Ethereum, Polygon, Flow and Solana to receive digital art assets on its platform. An official announcement is expected on Monday. Ethereum is the industry leader when it comes to NFT, home to the famous Bored Ape NFT line.
The social media platform will join forces with a well-adapted MetaDesk cryptocurrency portfolio. This will allow users to include their wallets to prove ownership of their NFTs, display them in their accounts, and give credit to their creators.
Unlike Twitter, which has taken the approach of charging users a small fee to show off their bored monkeys wearing Supreme jackets and Cartier chokers, Instagram will not charge money for using NFT.
Instagram is one of the most widely available social media platforms today. As NFTs create a presence in Instagram’s user pool, this could lead to a wider adoption and mass targeting of the concept to digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
NFT are making significant own jumps. With the kind assistance of the Indian start-up company NFT Revise, NFT can now be programmed to undergo changes according to the data provided, such as changing clothes and umbrellas when the weather forecast shows rainy weather.
