The share of pharmaceutical companies hired for cybersecurity positions increased in April 2022 compared to the equivalent month last year, with 43.6% of the companies included in our analysis hiring at least one such position. .
This last figure is higher than 40.4% of companies that hired for cybersecurity jobs a year ago, but is down from 46.9% in March 2022.
As for the percentage of all job vacancies related to cybersecurity, related advertisements increased in April 2022, with 2.2% of newly published job advertisements related to the topic.
This last figure was the highest monthly figure recorded in the past year and is an increase compared to 1.7% of newly announced jobs, which were related to cybersecurity in the equivalent month a year ago.
Cybersecurity is one of the topics that GlobalData, from which our data for this article is taken, identified as a key destructive force facing companies in the coming years.
