Boulder City, Nev. (CLASS) – Less than a week after the discovery of boatmen body in a barrel additional human remains were found on the edge of the water in the drought-stricken Lake Mead.

National Park Rangers responded to a call Saturday that human skeletal remains were found in Calville Bay in the Mead Lake National Recreation Area. A Clark County medical examiner was reportedly contacted to determine the cause of death.

There are no signs of bad games at the moment, say KLAS sources on Nexstar.

This investigation is currently ongoing.

On May 1, boatmen found a body hidden in a barrel near the port of Lake Mead. The barrel he seemed trapped in the mud and may have been exposed due to low water levels.

“We moored our boat to go home and heard a woman screaming,” said witness Sean Hollister. “My husband went and found the body. His shirt and belt were the only thing we could see above the decaying bones.

Police suspect the man in the barrel, believed to be a man, was killed in the late 1970s or 1980s. The place where the barrel was found is half a mile from the shore, when the police suspect that the victim of the murder was thrown away, officials say. At that time, the lake had record high levels.

The courtroom is still working to identify the remains. Police say they have received “several dozen” pieces of advice about the remains still receiving information from the community.

A KLAS news team found a second barrel shortly after the first barrel was found, but investigators found it empty.

There are now two retired police officers in Las Vegas offering a prize for divers who find additional bodies in Lake Mead. They say they will offer $ 5,000 for any additional remains.

The continuing severe drought has led to other unfortunate discoveries in the water. Last month, the upper part of the water suction pipe is visible above the water surface due to falling lake level.

Lake Mead recently fell below 1,056 feet above sea level. Lake levels are expressed in height, not depth.

At its highest levels, the lake is nearly 1,225 feet.
