Motorola Edge 50 Fusion India launch date set for May 16; Specifications confirmed

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion India launch date is set for next week, Motorola announced via an X post on Wednesday (May 8). It has been confirmed that it will go official through Flipkart. The Motorola phone debuted in select markets, including Europe, in April. It was launched alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The latter is now available in India. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion features a 144Hz refresh rate display, IP68-rated construction, a 50-megapixel dual rear camera, and 68W fast charging support. The smartphone runs on Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC.

The launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is planned will be held in India on May 16 India at 12:00 PM IST. Motorola has been releasing multiple teasers via its official X handle for the launch. Flipkart has published a dedicated landing page revealing its specifications.

On Flipkart Web page shows that the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will be available in Forest Blue, Hot Pink and Marshmallow Blue colors and will carry up to 12GB of inbuilt RAM. It is said to run on Android 14 Hello UI based and features a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It will include an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Indian variant of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has been confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. It will feature a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C primary rear sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide macro shooter. The listing also shows a 32-megapixel selfie sensor.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion supports 15 5G bands and Wi-Fi 6 in India. It will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging and a water-resistant design with an IP68 rating.

Motorola is yet to reveal the prices of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion in India. However, the phone was launched in Europe with a starting price of €399 (roughly Rs. 35,900).
