OnePlus has announced a new mid-range smartphone in the OnePlus Nord 2T, along with the affordable Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord Buds.
The OnePlus Nord 2T is a direct sequel to last year’s OnePlus Nord 2 and looks remarkably similar, with the same display, camera and battery wrapped in a moderately refreshed design. However, there are some interesting changes and additions here.
OnePlus made a slight overhaul of the design of its mid-range ranger with new colors (Gray Shadow and Jade Fog) and an expanded camera environment.

While this 6.43-inch 2400 x 1080 90Hz AMOLED display is the same as before, OnePlus has included dual environmental sensors for a smarter auto-brightness feature. This is something that many phones confuse, surprisingly.
Meanwhile, the camera system again includes an almost leading 50MP Sony IMX766 wide sensor with OIS, which impressed us a lot in Nord 2 (and Realme 9 Pro Plus). You also get an 8MP ultra wide and 2MP mono lens as before.
Improvements here include an improved 32MP selfie camera – ported from the OnePlus 10 Pro, no less – and AI assistant enhancements caused by the move to a new processor.
Speaking of which, OnePlus has raised the Nord 2T from Dimensity 1200 to Dimensity 1300. This will be the chip’s debut, so we’re still not sure what kind of performance boost this will provide. OnePlus promises “great gaming performance, more efficient power consumption and better temperature control.”

Last year’s Nord 2 performed great for the money, so don’t worry about that. You also get 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Another headline addition is the same 80W charging system that comes with the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro. Nord is already charging quite fast at 65W, but OnePlus promises a 20% increase.
Prices start at £ 369 / € 399 for the 8GB RAM / 128GB model. There will also be a 12 / 256GB option for £ 469 / € 399.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and Nord Buds
In addition to the OnePlus Nord 2T, OnePlus is also using its recent event to introduce the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and OnePlus Nord Buds.
The first is a more affordable option of £ 279 / € 299 with a 6.59 inch FHD + 120Hz LCD, Snapdragon 695 5G chip, 5000 mAh battery and 33W charging. Its triple camera system is headed by a 64 MP main sensor, with 2MP depth and macro sensors providing assistance.

OnePlus Nord Buds is the first time OnePlus has attached its Nord brand value to a headset. These true wireless headphones feature 12.4mm titanium dynamic drivers, Dolby Atmos support and the claimed 30 hours of single-charge playback – all for just £ 49 / € 49.
All three Nord products go on sale on May 24, with pre-orders starting on May 19 at OnePlus.com.
