OYO strengthens its holiday rental business in Europe with the acquisition of a holiday rental management company Direct Booker.

The terms of the deal for the purchase of the Croatia-based company, which is said to have more than 3,000 homes, have not been announced.

The acquisition was made through OYO Vacation Homes, which already owns a number of holiday rental brands in Europe, including Belvilla and DanCenter.

OYO will now promote Direct Booker properties through its Belvilla brand, which already offers about 1,800 properties.

Mandar Vaidja, CEO of OYO Europe, says: “We see a huge benefit in offering more holiday homes in the Dalmatian region. We are particularly excited about Dubrovnik, the most visited tourist destination in Croatia, where we will significantly improve our footprint with this acquisition. Direct Booker is a great addition to our portfolio of hotels and homes in Croatia and throughout Europe. ”

OYO acquired @Leisure in 2019 for 360 million euros, marking its entry into the holiday rental space in Europe.

The company, which later rebranded @Leisure into OYO Vacation Homes, acquired TUI’s tour rental business six months later and said it was looking for additional acquisitions in Europe.
