PENSACOLA, FL (WKRG) – A Pensacola jury has awarded millions of dollars to a military veteran in a lawsuit against an earplug manufacturer.

James Beale has had tinnitus and hearing loss since serving in Iraq.

A jury ordered 3M to pay $ 77.5 million to Beal, which used earplugs issued by the company’s military.

This is the last and biggest prize in 16 trials. Of these, the plaintiffs won 10 times, earning a total of $ 300 million.

The trials are being held in the federal court of Pensacola.
