Designed and implemented in less than three days, the flexible display setup means the showroom can be effortlessly customized to suit different models and events, while customers can now configure their dream car live on screen before to place their official order.

PPDS, the exclusive global supplier of Philips Digital Signage, Interactive Displays, Direct View LED and Professional TVs, is excited to announce its range of Philips LED and Digital Signage solutions that have been selected and deployed to redefine the in-car experience for customers of the Seat CUPRA in Munich.

With over 350 authorized dealers and over 390 service partners, Spanish automotive powerhouse CUPRA is fast becoming a driving force in the world of electric cars, with its range of customizable models inspired by racing on the street, track or off-road fun.

With a new era of cars comes a new era of technology – both in the cars and across the brand. Therefore, when CUPRA’s flagship showroom was established in Munich, it was equally important to have the right technology that reflected the brand’s reputation for innovation. What CUPRA needed was a cutting-edge system that allowed them to create a localized identity while having the flexibility to accommodate ever-changing showroom displays and models at the dealership.

Driving change

To make their vision a reality, CUPRA teamed up with MEKmedia and PPDS for a showroom like no other. Together, a customized solution was designed and implemented in less than three days. To ensure absolute showroom flexibility, a modular display setup was created to enable fast and versatile content playback.

Three Philips L-Line LED displays and a large 65-inch Philips screen were installed to showcase the features, branding and benefits of each model. The display setup is designed in such a way that it can be moved to match different showroom configurations as well as used in front windows to attract more traffic. This setup also allows the car configurator to be used, allowing customers to create their dream car live on screen – an important aspect for the CUPRA brand. This resulted in significantly greater brand awareness, customer engagement and staff productivity.

Eric Handler, Head of DND, SEAT Deutschland GmbH commented: “PPDS provided the perfect solution with their Philips displays and flexible way of working.”

Advantages of the showroom

  • Modular design: The flexible display setup means the showroom can be effortlessly customized to suit different models and events throughout the year.
  • Retail Car Configurator: Customers can configure their dream car live on screen to see how it will look before placing their official order. This increased customer confidence while reducing the number of demo models required.
  • Quick Deployment: PPDS and MEKmedia designed and implemented the entire system in less than three days.
  • Easy Updates: Staff can easily submit new content using a central system.
