PulseForge, Inc., a new division of NovaCentrix, will discuss its revolutionary soldering tools at SMTconnect, scheduled for May 10-12, 2022 in Nuremberg. PulseForge® soldering tools are ready to redefine EMS through a combination of new design freedoms that allow, as well as a dramatic reduction in energy use in the process, to decarbonize the EMS supply chain.

The production technology of PulseForge Inc. changes the way products are designed by creating options for the use of unconventional and innovative materials, while improving costs and sustainability levels. The company’s technology experts will discuss its batch and linear soldering tools, offering design and sustainability advice. The PulseForge Soldering Batch model is ideal for self-processing requirements, while the In-Line model is used for integrated production.

PulseForge Inc introduces its own heat treatment technology to the EMS market after years of application in the production of displays, RFID and photovoltaics. Sub-second heating and cooling means no damage to heat-sensitive substrates and components, even when using SAC305 pastes on plastic and direct solder coin batteries. Due to the ultra-fast heat treatment, energy recovery is reduced to 85 percent or more compared to conventional multi-zone re-welding.

PulseForge® Soldering was recently named the winner of the Global SMT & Packaging Technology Award for Best Product in North America 2021, as well as the winner of the 2021 Technology Award in Mexico.

Trends in product design in applications such as AR / VR / XR, medical and consumer wearables and automotive devices are increasingly focused on the use of thinner, flexible, cheaper substrates and / or low temperature components. However, this change brings a production challenge: how to solder these low-temperature materials without damage and on an economical scale. With PulseForge tools, innovators and product manufacturers can now use new flexible, low-cost materials and components and provide scalable, low-energy functionality that has never been possible before.
