Realme has added another phone to its 12 series of smartphones. Before that, we saw the launch of Realme 12, 12+, 12 Pro and 12 Pro+. The fifth member of the range is the Realme 12X and it brings a good set of great specs for the price.
Of course, Realme has only announced the phone for China as of now. However, since the rest of the devices in the range are already available outside the Chinese region, the Realme 12X may also make a global debut soon.
Key highlights of Realme 12X
One of the main highlights of the Realme 12X is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. It is a lower mid-range SoC that carries eight cores. Realme has paired the SoC with 12GB of RAM, making the phone capable of running most resource-intensive apps. And if you want more, you can use Virtual RAM memory function to get another 12 GB.
In terms of storage, the Realme 12X comes with the highest 512GB, with the base variant packing 256GB of storage. On the front, the phone sports a 6.67-inch LCD screen that has 625 nits of peak brightness. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate to offer a smooth experience.
As for the camera, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front, while the rear has a dual-camera setup. The primary sensor is 50 MP and is paired with a 2 MP depth sensor.
Other highlights of the Realme 12X include a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W wired charging, IP54 certification, and a lightweight body. As for the price, the base model costs CNY 1,399, which is about $194. The other 512GB variant is CNY 1,599, about $222. However, keep in mind that these are introductory offers and prices will increase to around $208 and $229 after the promotional phase.
