Realme has just unveiled a number of affordable new products, including two new smartphones and a tablet. Here’s what you need to know.

Launched as a sub-brand of Oppo, Realme specializes in high-value, affordable technology and has now announced the addition of three new devices: Realme 9, Realme 9 5G and Realme Pad Mini. In this article we have gathered all the information you need to know about these new products.

Realme 9

The distinguishing feature of Realme 9 is its Samsung ISOCELL HM6 camera sensor, which has an impressive resolution of 108 megapixels. This is joined by an ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and a 4 cm macro camera.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, which Realme claims is “guaranteed to provide consumers with a smooth smartphone experience.” The screen measures 6.4 inches, has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and Full HD resolution (1080p).

The device weighs 178 grams and is 7.99 mm thick, and the rear panel has a striking “Holographic design of waves”, which is said to be “inspired by the light of the desert.” Depending on how the light captures it, you will see different colors that shine back.

Realme 9 5G

Realme 9 5G obviously offers 5G connectivity, thanks to the modem of its Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and this is the key selling point of the phone. In fact, this processor has the “highest CPU clock speed in the segment” (2.2GHz) and is the most affordable on this phone.

Here again there is a shiny back panel, but the color options are limited to black and white.

The sensor of the master camera here has a 50-megapixel resolution and is accompanied by two 2-megapixel sensors; one is a macro lens and the other is a black and white portrait lens. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The battery capacity is 5000mAh and is supported by 18W fast charging.

Realme Pad Mini

The new Realme Pad Mini clearly offers “the best overall experience in the Android Mini tablet segment,” according to the manufacturer. It runs on a Unisoc T616 processor and has a large 6400mAh battery (again supported by 18W fast charge).

The display of this model is 8.7 inches and the resolution is 1340x800p; the thin frames give it an 84.57% screen to body ratio.

The base model has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory, which can be expanded up to 1TB via Micro SD. The rear camera has an 8-megapixel resolution and can capture 1080p video.
