Realme C65 5G is a new entry-level champion with Dimensity 6300

Earlier this month, Realme introduced the 4G variant of its entry-level Realme C65 smartphone. Now the company is addition The 5G version of the phone to its listing. Realme C65 5G comes with decent feature set and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC.

Realme C65 5G Specifications and Features

The chipset is one of the big highlights of this smartphone. After all, the Realme C65 5G is the first device equipped with the Dimensity 6300. The chipset is the successor to the Dimensity 6100+, featuring an overclocked main processor Cortex-A76 cluster. It has 2 x ARM Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.4 GHz and 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2 GHz. The chipset is manufactured on TSMC’s 6nm process and features a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. According to MediaTek, the new chip will offer a 10% improvement in CPU performance compared to the outgoing 6100+.

The Realme C65 5G comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The memory can be expanded up to 2 TB via micro SD card. The device runs Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 out of the box, with Realme promising two years of Android OS updates and three years of security patches.

Display, camera and battery

The smartphone features a 6.67-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD with 625 nits peak brightness. It supports Rainwater Smart Touch and has a centered 8MP selfie hole. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button.

Moving to the back, there is a circular camera notch with four circles. Of the four, however, only two are used for cameras. The phone has a 50 MP primary camera and a vibration sensor. The third hole is for the LED flash and the fourth is just for aesthetics and symmetry.

The Realme C65 draws power from a 5000 mAh battery with 15W support. Other handy features include an IP54 rating, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and a dedicated micro SD card slot. The phone also comes with some interesting software features. We have Air Gestures, Mini Capsule 2.0, Dynamic Button and AI Boost. The latter combines Smooth Boost and Game Boost. According to Realme, these features reduce lag and improve performance in high frame rate games.

Prices and availability

The Realme C65 5G comes in Feather Green and Glowing Black color options with three memory options. 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB. The phone costs INR 10,499 ($125/€120), INR ($140/€130) and INR 12,499 ($150/€140) respectively. It will go on sale in India later today via Realme’s official Indian website, Flipkart and major stores.
