System C has finalized a contract with Circle Health Group to provide a new electronic patient record (EPR) that will help the independent hospital group reduce its reliance on paper.

EPR will help Circle Health Group transition to a paperless environment at the point of care. With less time spent on admin, more time can be dedicated to patient care. System C’s EPR will improve patient care, support its digital strategy and help it advance to Stage 6 of the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) international standard.

We hope, CareFlow EPR will be rolled out across the group’s 54 hospitals and clinics, with the first phase expected to go live in June 2023.

Ben Lloyd, Chief Integration Officer at Circle Health Group, said: “Simplified, streamlined processes and the use of mobile technology will enable our staff to spend more time doing what they joined the profession for – providing our patients exceptional care. “

Circle Health Group staff will have access to the right information at the right time to support their patient care. System C EPR CareFlow includes outpatients, theaters, e-prescribing, clinical support, critical care, bed management, electronic observations, patient portal and clinical documentation.

Nick Wilson, CEO of System C, said: “We are delighted to be working with Circle Health Group, which is so widely recognized across the UK for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient care. We share their vision of putting patients at the heart of everything we do and look forward to working on this project together to enable staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients.”

This summer, System C also signed a 10-year contract with The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for EPR to support its digital ambitions.
