TECNO is a global innovative technology brand with operations in over 70 markets. And they recently introduced the industry’s first Eagle Eye Lens technology. The innovation was presented in a webinar focusing on the evolution of premium technology. They are currently flooding the global smartphone domain. Expected to be implemented in tandem with premium smartphone models debuting in 2023, TECNO’s Eagle Eye lens will be the first dual-prism periscope camera equipped with the largest tilting capability introduced to date.
The lens’ internal rotating dual prisms, which provide true AI tracking and shooting, enable an ultra-stabilizing angle that can be as wide as 6 degrees on both the positive and negative axes. The two prisms can be tilted uniaxially by +/- 8° or +/- 10°, resulting in a combined uniaxial tilt range of +/-16° in the short side direction and +/-20° in the long side direction of the image. Which allows them to intelligently track moving objects in the image. Therefore, the center of the telephoto lens’ field of view will constantly be occupied by moving objects.

Revolutionary technology is here
The advanced features available in the revolutionary Eagle Eye lens redefine technology. It is worth noting that the tracking and shooting functions present in most smartphones, be it Android or iOS, use digital cropping technology to center the subject in the frame. In comparison, TECNO’s Eagle Eye Lens technology is the first to achieve a true physical tracking and shooting experience. Providing users with flawless images free of blemishes or digital cropping.
The new imaging technology that the Eagle Eye lens offers further optimizes the enjoyment of capturing exciting videos of moving subjects for users. The result is a superior shooting experience with video stabilization. “The Eagle Eye lens can solve the perennial problem of the limited view of the telephoto lens. Such as when shooting sports videos like an F1 race. Instead, state-of-the-art equipment can accurately monitor, detect and capture the fast movement of racing cars at its best.”said Jimmy Hsu, Deputy Director of TECNO Image R&D Center. “This gives remote shooting users the best experience possible.”
TECNO is dedicated to consistently focusing on developing leading imaging capabilities. And make significant advances in portraiture, zoom, picture stability and other dimensions of photography. The company does this by sticking to its glocalization strategy. And the main trends in the development of mobile imaging technologies worldwide. In the not-so-distant future, we can expect the unveiling of more fundamentally new technologies. Stay on the line!
