Supplier of industrial LCD solutions JDIT-K — formerly KOE — announced the introduction of a new 15.8-inch transmissive color TFT display module. The TX40D200VM0BAA features a resolution of 2560 x 600 pixels, a wide landscape format and the latest in-plane switching (IPS) LCD technology.

Optical performance is ensured by the implementation of the latest In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, which delivers outstanding color performance with deeply saturated colors and extremely consistent image stability, strong contrast ratios and deep black levels, combined with 176° viewing angles in all directions (up/down, left/right).

Display images are bright, accurate and concise, with a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a white LED backlight providing a specified brightness of 370cd/m² and a half-brightness life of 70K hours. Integrated PWM backlight dimming circuitry allows easily controlled flicker-free dimming from 0% to 100%.

Benson Huang, Marketing Manager, JDIT-K, said, “The optical performance and image characteristics of the new 15.8-inch TFT module naturally lend themselves to use in digital signage, public information displays and control console applications. Vivid, deeply saturated colors and high-contrast images can be easily viewed and viewed from all directions.”

Ease of use is enhanced with the adoption of a 20-pin embedded DisplayPort (eDP) data interface that offers support for 8-bit RGB color data, enabling a color palette of up to 16.7 million colors. The display module has outline mechanical dimensions of 409.8 mm (w) x 109.5 mm (h) x 14.5 mm (d) and an active display area of 389.76 mm (w) x 91.35 mm (h) . Operating temperature range from -20°C to +70°C is supported.

Future product development plans include the upcoming introduction of an optional JDIT-K 15.8-inch TFT display module featuring an LVDS interface, improved brightness rating and a wider -30°C to +80°C operating temperature range.

Typical applications for the high-definition widescreen module include digital signage, public information systems, control consoles, vehicle clusters, public transportation, measurement and monitoring equipment.
