What is Mrs. Marvel for?
According to Marvel, Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old Pakistani American who “feels invisible both at home and at school” until she gains some impressive strength. She has also been described as “an ambitious artist, an avid gamer and an insatiable fan science fiction writer”.
Khan first appeared in Marvel comics in 2013. It seems that her strengths in the Disney Plus show will be different from comics.
The show’s executive producers include Kevin Feigi, Luis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Bisha K. Ali, a British-Pakistani comedian who is also the show’s lead writer. Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fala (Bad Boys for Life), along with Mira Menon and Charmine Obeid-China, directed the episodes.
Hahn will also appear with Carol Danvers (Bree Larson) in the upcoming MCU film The Marvels, which is expected to arrive on July 28, 2023.
