Apple’s own AR/VR headset, which goes by the popular name Mixed Reality, has been in the news for some time. Many expected An apple to launch this device in 2022. However, this did not turn out to be the case.

Apple Mixed Reality Headset could be released in Q2 or Q3 of 2023
According to noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s mixed reality headset may not be released until the end of the second or third quarter of 2023. Kuo cited issues with mechanical components, drop testing, and a lack of software development tools. These seem to be the main reasons for the delay.

While it was previously believed that the handset could be unveiled in January. Kuo now believes the announcement is more likely to be delayed until the spring. If not in the spring, then it will probably be at the WWDC conference in June. And everything will depend on the progress of development.
Apple is building partnerships for the mixed reality headset
Apple is rumored to be working with film producers and game developers. To develop games and make movies for this platform. Additionally, there are also reports that Apple wants to develop a dedicated app store specifically for the headset.

This goes a long way to explaining why Apple continues to push the headset forward. As Kuo already said, the Apple Mixed Reality headset could launch either in the spring or at the WWDC conference. That means we won’t see the headset in action until mid-2023 at the latest.
