Covid has changed the definition of ‘school’ and the way students learn, from the traditional classroom model to e-learning, pods and home learning.
In a survey of 18 states that shared data this past school year, the number of homeschooled students increased by 63 percent in the 2020-2021 school year, then fell by just 17 percent in the 2021-2022 school year.
About 3% of U.S. students were homeschooled before the pandemic-induced surge.
