For precharging and discharging applications, the devices combine robust construction with a wide range of resistance, narrow tolerance up to ± 1% and TCR up to 20 ppm / ° C

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today unveiled a new series of qualified AEC-Q200 wound chassis resistors aimed at the growing electric vehicle (EV) market.

The Vishay Dale RHA series resistors are mounted directly on the chassis to take advantage of the radiator effect. Offering high reliability, the devices feature a fully welded and molded construction for complete environmental protection and an operating temperature range from -55 ° C to +250 ° C. The resistors will serve as pre-charge and discharge resistors in EV, in addition to voltage dividers in the taillights and current limiters in dimming interior lighting circuits.

The devices launched today offer high power up to 50 W in four small packages. The solid tolerance of the resistors up to ± 1%, TCR up to 20 ppm / ° C and a wide range of resistance from 0.1 kΩ to 39.2 kΩ allow higher accuracy and stability. The RHA series is RoHS compliant, halogen-free and Vishay Green.
