This versatile camera setup has many of us looking forward to the global launch of the Vivo X100 Ultra. But It seems that the company has part of bad news for us. The latest camera flagship isn’t making its way outside of China.
Why not Vivo X100 Ultra to be released outside of China?
Looking back, the last device that Vivo launched in international markets was the X80 Pro. But since then, the company has faced patent issues with Nokia, which has forced a restriction on Vivo good number of their flagships for the Chinese market. And it is the reason why Vivo X100 Ultra will not officially reach the global markets.
If you are wondering, Patent dispute between Nokia and Vivo is for standard essential patents (SEPs) related to cell technology. These questions, however are expected to be allowed within this year or on the next one one. If the issue is resolved soon, Vivo may reverse its decision to launch the X100 Ultra globally.
