Have you stopped thinking about the camera on your smartphone? Probably not. We are used to carrying high quality cameras wherever we go. We can take pictures with abandonment without having to think about the price of the film. We don’t even have to deal with the settings much, although we can if we want to.

Finding the image you are looking for can be a challenge when you have the freedom to take as much as you want. And how do you hide your photos from prying eyes? Read on for more information.

Find your photos quickly

With the ability to take thousands of photos with your phone thanks to the large storage capacity and access to the cloud, you may be overwhelmed.

You can search for photos on your phone to narrow things down and find the one you want. Here’s how to do it on an iPhone.

  • Open up Photos ap.
  • Tap Search and enter what you are looking for in the search bar. Try a person’s name, date, or location. You can also search for categories such as beach or selfies or events such as concerts or birthdays.
  • Use Moments, people, Faces and Categories options to help you organize your searches.

Do you have an Android phone? You can search by people, things, and places in the Google Photos app:

  • Open on your Android phone or tablet Google Photos ap.
  • Log in to yours Google Accountt.
  • Tap at the bottom Search.
    • Search by text:
      • Tap the search box at the top and enter what you want to find, for example:
      • new York
      • Name or nickname if you have identified people or pets
    • To search using suggestions:
      • You can view categories from:
        • People and pets: all photos and videos of your close links
        • Places: The map allows you to explore your photos in physical space
        • Things: objects and concepts that we found in your photos
      • You can also scroll to the bottom for more practical searches, such as:
        • Screenshots, selfieand video clips

Hide your photos

When a friend wants to use your phone or you want to show them photos from a recent trip, what do you do? You betray him. Then your nerves start to get upset. Didn’t you take some personal photos of the last trip? Your friend shouldn’t see this.

Fortunately, you can hide photos you don’t want others to see.

For iPhone

  • Open up Photos ap.
  • Select an album, then tap Choose in the top right corner.
  • Select the photos and videos you want to hide.
  • Tap Title button.
  • Tap Kriya, then Hide photos to confirm.

To find your hidden photos and videos, scroll down to utilities and tap Hidden. You can open a file by tapping Title button and selection Display.

For Android

You can save sensitive photos and videos to a folder protected by a lock on your device in the Google Photos app.

Items in the locked folder will not appear in the grid for photos, memories, searches, or albums, and will not be available to other applications on your device that have access to your photos and videos. NOTE: This function is only available on Android 6 and later.

How to set up a locked folder:

  • Open up Google Photos ap.
  • Go to Library > utilities > Locked folder.
  • Tap Set up a locked folder.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to unlock your device. If your folder is empty, you’ll find “Nothing here yet.”
    • If you do not have a screen lock set for your device, you will need to set it to use a locked folder. Learn how to set or change your screen lock Android phone here.

How to move photos or videos to a locked folder:

  • Select the photos and videos you want in a locked folder.
  • Tap on the top right | More ▼ > Move to locked folder.
  • Tap Move.

You can find items that you have moved to a locked folder in the Photos app library below utilities.

Google Lens

If you have an Android device, you can use Google Lens app on text and objects. Just point your camera at an object and touch it for more information. You can also tap speaks and ask a question.
