Sydney: After extensive testing, microblogging platform Twitter has confirmed that it’s rolling out its “Edit Tweet” feature to users in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and it’s coming to the US soon. The company said the feature is for Twitter Blue users. However, there is no mention of the availability of the feature for the Indian audience. Twitter will allow users to edit a tweet up to five times.
“Test went well, Edit Tweet now rolling out to Twitter Blue members in Canada, Australia and New Zealand,” according to a tweet from Twitter Blue. “Love your edits, we’re excited to continue expanding this test to new markets – can’t wait to hear what you think!” Twitter Blue mentioned.

The microblogging platform mentioned that a version history will be available for each edited tweet so that users know what has changed. Last month, Twitter showed off the feature on its own platform by changing one of its tweets that displayed “Last Edited” at the bottom of the post. Twitter edits a tweet, and after clicking “Last Edit,” people can see the original tweet and the previous history of edits. Twitter Blue subscriptions are paid on a monthly basis and are priced regionally based on the current US price of $4.99.
