Manufacturing & Engineering (MEM) is a proud media partner of the UK Metals Expo (UKME), which will take place on 14 and 15 September at NEC, Birmingham.
UK Metals Expo will be the first time the whole industry is represented and united entirely under one roof from primary metal production, supply chain management, metal processing, manufacturing, surface coatings and recycling with industry experts, leading suppliers and manufacturers such as Unilever, Royal Mint, Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, Brompton Cycle, Department of Defense, Ford Motor Company, Landsec and Rolls-Royce.
UK Metals Expo also benefits from the full approval and cooperation of the UK Metals Council and its members: Advanced Molding Research Center, Aluminum Federation, Aluminum Packaging Recycling Organization, British Construction Steel Association, British Recycling Association Metals, the British Stainless Steel Association, the Confederation of the British Metal Forming Confederation, the Casting Federation, the Electroplating Association, the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association, UK Steel, The Welding Institute and many other industry organizations.
The coming years will see the need to address some significant challenges such as skills shortages, efficient recycling, post-Brexit trade and increasing competitiveness. With the new Governing Body, co-chaired by Lord Rupert Redesdale and Chris MacDonald, the impact of the event will be year-round with major initiatives, challenges and successes discussed and presented in detail in theaters.
The event includes a free visit to an exhibition and conference, providing a 2-day comprehensive program full of products and services, business networks, industry insights, design inspirations, best practices and innovative solutions.
