Lifestyle audio brand Ultimate Ears, a sub-brand of Logitech, has announced the launch of two new portable BlueTooth speakers, the Wonderboom 3 and Hyperboom, both aimed at consumers who want portable, clear Bluetooth speakers to share music with friends or more.

Speaking at the launch of the Wonderboom 3 and the new Hyperboom speakers, Jonah Staw, General Manager of Ultimate Ears, said:

“There’s no doubt that people love our speakers, which is why we’re so excited to add to our fleet with the new WONDERBOOM 3 and our fan favorite HYPERBOOM in white,” and that “With these additions, we deliver brilliant, clear sound, elegant colors and cutting-edge innovation that our customers are looking for with the added benefit of increased use of recycled materials in WONDERBOOM 3.”

So what do the Wonderboom 3 and Hyperboom speakers have to offer, let’s take a look shall we?

Wonderboom 3

The Wonderboom 3 is a Bluetooth audio follow-up to the Wonderboom 2, made from 100% recycled polyester fabric and a minimum of 31% certified recycled plastic, which the company says gives new life to end-of-life recycled electronics.

Wonderboom 3 is the smaller, portable Bluetooth speaker that brings 360° sound along with clear, bass-driven audio quality that lasts up to 14 hours at full stereo boom. The Wonderboom 3 also comes with an IP67 rating, meaning it’s waterproof, dustproof and will float if placed in a pool, but I wouldn’t recommend doing this regularly.

The Wonderboom 3 comes with a 40m Bluetooth range and you can pair it with other Wonderboom 3 Bluetooth speakers to help boost the volume with the ability to simply press a button to pair the two speakers together while pressing again for true stereo from both speakers, with left and right channels.

The Wonderboom will be available in four colors at launch, including Joyous Bright (grey), Hyper Pink, Performance Blue and Active Black.

The Wonderboom 3 will be available for purchase starting August 31 for an estimated retail price of $149.95.

The Ultimate Ears Hyperboom Bluetooth Audio Speaker is the loudest and bassiest speaker the company says is a new upgrade that brings with it a wide dynamic range that brings your music to life, reproducing every note with rich detail and a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 24 hours.

The Hyperboom also supports four input sources — two Bluetooth, one 3.5mm auxiliary and one optical audio, meaning you can easily switch between music from your phone, laptop or games console with the push of a button.

Additionally, the Hyperboom comes with an adaptive EQ that the speaker will read the environment and automatically adjust the sound to fill any space. The Hyperboom also comes with an IPX4 rating and can also charge your smartphone thanks to the inclusion of a USB charging port.

The Hyperboom is supported by the Ultimate Ears BOOM app, available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which will allow users to set up favorite playlists, remotely turn the speaker on or off, adjust the volume, and more. In addition, the app can also help ensure your device is working properly, but also provide software updates as they are released, but also allows users to connect and pair their Hyperboom speaker with other speakers such as Boom, Megaboom or other Hyperboom speakers using the PartyUp feature app.

The Hyperboom speaker will be available in a new white color and will go on sale from September 9 for $599.95.
