The foldable smartphone market is expanding with many offerings from different brands. The BBK Electronics group has been entering the segment with full force since last year. Its Oppo and Vivo brands have launched several foldable smartphones and more are on the way. While OnePlus and Realme are set to join soon, Vivo will opt for its second generation, which is also set to bring a new variant – the Vivo X Flip. Last year, Vivo started its journey with a horizontal folding phone, the Vivo X Fold. After a gradual upgrade in the form of the Vivo X Fold S, the company is now gearing up to unveil the Vivo X Fold2. It will come along with a new Flip variant.

It looks like Vivo X Flip will be another clamshell clamshell phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This is the same processor in the Oppo Find N2 Flip and the Galaxy Z series. Obviously, we will have to wait a little longer to see the first foldable clamshell with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is worth noting, however, that the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 will bring the most – the new Qualcomm processor.

According to the leak, Vivo X Flip will have a large external display and will have a beautiful design that resembles the Vivo X series. The internal display will be 6.8-inch diagonal with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The leak also points to a 4,400mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The phone will have two cameras on the back – one with 50 MP (IMX866) and the other a 12 MP ultra-wide.

Vivo is rumored to launch the new foldable phones very soon. Given that the Vivo X Fold arrived in April last year, we have strong reasons to believe in the launch of the new devices next month.
