Vivo has officially launched the X100s series featuring on X100s and X100s. You guessed it, these two are upgraded versions of the X100 range that the brand launched last year.
One of the main highlights of the two Vivo X100s phones is the Dimensity 9300+. This is the latest flagship SoC from MediaTek. In comparison, the original X100 series launched with the Dimensity 9300. The Plus version of the SoC brings improved CPU and APU performance. But it is not only the powerful processor that makes the two new phones true flagships.

The Vivo X100s Pro combines the Dimensity 9300+ SoC with the in-house Vivo V3 image processing chipset. This is one of the things that sets it apart from the regular X100s, as this phone has a Vivo V2 imaging chip.
Also, the X100s Pro has a slightly thicker and heavier build. It is 8.91 mm thick and weighs 224 grams. But the larger build is complemented by a large 5100 mAh battery. It uses second-generation battery technology and can be charged at 100 watts.
As for the Vivo X100s, it is thinner than the X100s Pro. It measures 7.8 mm conditions of thickness but has the same weight as the Pro version. More interestingly, both the new smartphones came with an IP69 rating. This means they can withstand high temperature water jets.

It goes up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, costing CNY 5,200 (about $720). The Pro version starts at CNY 5,000 (about $690. Its base model also has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The top model Vivo X100s Pro with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is CNY 6,200 (about $860). These two smartphones will going on sale on May 17 in China and Vivo is has yet to reveal the global price and launch date.
