AMD Ryzen 7000 Raphael and the next generation AM5 platform
The highly anticipated AMD Ryzen 7000 processors codenamed Raphael and the next-generation AM5 platform will be a huge focus during the keynote speech at Computex 2022. The Ryzen 7000 processors will be introduced on the all-new platform, saying goodbye to the previous AM4 platform. The new AM5 platform is expected to be unveiled in two separate series, the X670 and X670E, which will target the high-end segment first before launching more mass options by the end of this year or early 2023. We can expect AMD may demonstrate some new performance demonstrations and talk about the specifications of these chips, but rest assured that the proper launch will be focused on the Q3 time frame.
Radeon Graphics Update: RDNA 3 & Beyond?
Another surprising presentation from AMD may be in the form of their next generation RDNA 3 graphics line, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2022. AMD may show us a brand new roadmap that gives us an idea of the success of their future RDNA portfolio existing RDNA 2 GPUs or they could also give us a first look at the upcoming technology or design of their next generation Radeon RX 7000 series. With that said, the AMD Radeon RX 6000 ‘RDNA 2’ family is over and it’s time for AMD to start talking about what’s next!
Radeon Technologies: FSR 2.0, new adrenaline updates, design benefits
The Radeon segment will not only be based on hardware, but software will also be an important part of the main note. AMD may also announce titles featuring their brand new FSR 2.0 technology, while providing updates for more features within its Adrenalin driver package. AMD Advantage laptops can also be presented with an improved design that shakes both RDNA 2 and Zen 3+ core IPs.
Dragon Range, Phoenix, Rembrandt desktop APU or something else?
Honestly, the things we mentioned above are known and AMD is always known to go a step further and annoy us with its next generation technology much earlier than planned. Some key products that can be more detailed include the Dragon Range, Phoenix & Rembrandt APU (Desktop) range. Maybe we can see that AMD is announcing its Threadripper 5000 range for the consumer segment, I mean, not much to be desired?
