Google will hold its annual I / O developer conference tomorrow, which is now as good a time as anyone else to check out how Alphabet is doing when it comes to AR and VR.

While much of the product noise before this year’s conference relates to the potential disclosure of Pixel watch, we look forward to receiving some updates on Google ‘s ongoing immersion software and hardware efforts. Will we see anything to compete with the metaverse that preceded the rebranding of Facebook last fall? Probably not, but given last year’s surprising revelation from Project Starline and the latest Google hiring and acquisition moves, here are some AR / VR topics to watch out for, from the most likely to the least likely:
