Are you ready to watch the latest colossal movie about Marvel superheroes? Dr. Strange in the multiverse of madnessthe sequel to Dr. Strange from 2016, hits theaters on Friday.

But what about streaming options at home? You can expect the Benedict Cumberbatch movie to hit Disney Plus shortly after its release, based on previous Marvel movies. This is very possible. Let’s dive into the details below.

When will Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hit Disney Plus?

The short answer: Disney has not released an official word on when exactly Doctor Strange 2 will appear on Disney Plus. But that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate on previous Disney Plus releases.

In 2021 (and 2022), a trio of Marvel movies headed to Disney Plus on cinema day or a few months later. In July, “Black Widow” hit the market for the day and date, appearing on Disney Plus (available with a subscription fee) at the same time as theaters.

In September, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hit theaters, then headed to Disney Plus after more than two months (or 70 days). In November, Eternals opened in theaters, then reached Disney Plus two months later (68 days). (Note: The Christmas edition of Spider-Man: No Way Home is unlikely to reach Disney Plus soon due to complicated license sharing deal with Sony.)

Does that mean we can expect Dr. Strange 2 to hit Disney Plus sometime in July? If we add the 70 days since its release on May 6, it ties it somewhere near a July 15 Disney Plus release date.

This could go back even further if the end of Ms. Marvel (starting June 8) on Disney Plus, as well as theaters on Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8. Expect official announcements from Disney (we will update this post).
