A sweater embedded with a coil filled with liquid metal can wirelessly charge wearable or portable electronic devices, including medical motion sensors and smartphones.

Wireless charging technology is gaining popularity and has the potential to be built into clothing to charge small electronic devices while worn. However, this potential has not yet been realized, as the wireless charger produces electromagnetic radiation that can damage human tissue after prolonged exposure in such close range.
