OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Deputies in Okaloosa County are investigating a murder-suicide after the bodies of a couple were found in their home.

The couple, aged 21 and 24, were found dead in their bedroom, according to a Facebook post by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called to the home near Fort Walton Beach for a welfare check.

One of the victim’s friends said she had not been able to contact anyone since Saturday, July 9. Officers arrived at the home and discovered the bodies on Monday, July 11.

Investigators believe the couple was killed in an “apparent domestic violence-related murder-suicide,” according to the post. At this time, OCSO has not released any information about how the couple died. The couple’s home is on Mariah Way off Lewis Turner Boulevard.
